Are Comments & Likes Hidden?


All comments and/or likes made by users of a corporate business account on YuVie are visible to the entire team (all users) attached to the same corporate account. 

Comments and likes made by users on different corporate accounts are not visible to each other or the general public. 

YuVie corporate accounts represent closed networks. All activity created within the app is only visible to users attached to the same corporate account.  

 
 

What happens if I share a YuVie to another Social Network?


When YuVie users share content to a social network such as Facebook or Twitter, the content is visible on the network and the permalink will be active. In other words, the content will be publicly accessibly by anyone who has access to the direct link/URL of the YuVie content. 

Keep in mind that when sharing YuVie content to a social network, the content is not visible in YuVie as a new post. The YuVie content will remain streaming in the app as created on its’ content card.

Community Guidelines


Cultivating a positive user experience on our platform is important to us.

Here are some common-sense rules to help you steer clear of potential trouble. Please takethese guidelines seriously and take them to heart. Please, do not try to find loopholes or try tolawyer your way around the guidelines we have prepared. We ask that you try to understnad the rules we have provided and respect the spirit in which they were created.

Nudity or Sexual Content

YuVie is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your video, even if it’s a video of yourself, don’t post it on YuVie. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.

Harmful or Dangerous Content

Don’t post videos on YuVie that encourage others to do things that might cause them to get badly hurt, especially kids. Videos showing such harmful or dangerous acts may get age-restricted or removed depending on their severity.

Hateful Content

Our YuVie platform is for free expression. But we don’t support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose primary purpose is inciting hatred on the basis of these core characteristics. This can be a delicate balancing act, but if the primary purpose is to attack a protected group, the content crosses the line.

Violent or Graphic Content

It’s not okay to post violent or gory content that’s primarily intended to be shocking, sensational, or disrespectful on YuVie. If posting graphic content in a news or documentary context, please be mindful to provide enough information to help peopleunderstand what’s going on in the video. Don’t encourage others to commit specific actsof violence.

Harassment & Cyberbullying

It’s not ok to post abusive videos and comments on YuVie. If harassment crosses the line into a malicious attack it can be reported to authorities and may be removed. In other cases, users may be mildly annoying or petty on YuVie and should be ignored.

Spam & Scams

Spam is universally hated. Don’t create misleading descriptions, tags, titles, or thumbnails in order to increase views on YuVie. It’s not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content on YuVie, including comments and private messages.

Threats

Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people’s personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from YuVie.

Copyright

Respect copyright. Only upload videos that you made or that you’re authorized to use on YuVie. This means don’t upload videos you didn’t make, or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations.

Privacy

If someone has posted your personal information or uploaded a video of you without your consent on YuVie, you can request removal of content based on our Privacy Guidelines.

Impersonation

Accounts on YuVIe that are established to impersonate another channel or individual may be removed under our impersonation policy.

Child Endangerment

Learn what to do if you encounter inappropriate content on YuVie. Be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.

 
 

Security Tips


Here are some things you can do to help keep your account safe:


  • Pick a strong password. Use a combination of at least six numbers, letters and punctuation marks (like ! and &). It should be different from other passwords you use elsewhere on the internet.


  • Change your password regularly, especially if you see a message from YuVie asking you to do so. During automated security checks, YuVie sometimes recovers login information that was stolen from other sites. If YuVie detects that your password may have been stolen, changing your password on YuVie and other sites helps to keep your account secure and prevent you from being hacked in the future.


  • Never give your password to someone you don't know and trust.


  • Make sure your email account is secure. Anyone who can read your email can probably also access your YuVie account. Change the passwords for all of your email accounts and make sure that no two are the same.


  • Log out of YuVie when you use a computer or phone you share with other people. Don't check the "Remember Me" box when logging in from another user’s smartphone, as this will keep you logged in even after you close the app.


  • Think before you authorize any third-party app.

Platform Policy


By using the YuVie Platform, you agree to this policy. By "Platform" we mean a set of APIs, SDKs, plugins, code, specifications, documentation, technology, and services (such as content) that enable others, including application developers and website operators, to retrieve data from YuVie or provide data to us. 

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time without notice, please review it regularly to keep up to date on our latest developments. Your continued use of the YuVie Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes. You also agree to and are responsible for ensuring that you comply with the YuVie Terms and Conditions and Community Guidelines

We provide the YuVie Platform to support several types of apps and services. First, we provide them to help members of our community share their own content with apps or services. We also support apps and services that help brands and advertisers understand and manage their audience, develop their content strategy, and obtain digital rights. 

A. General Terms

The YuVie Platform is not intended for other types of apps or services. For those we do support, the following terms and information also apply:

  1. Ensure your app is stable and easily navigable. For example, verify that you have integrated Login correctly. Your app shouldn’t crash or hang during the testing process.

  2. Don't confuse, deceive, defraud, mislead, or harass anyone.

  3. Be transparent about your identity and your app's identity.

  4. Don't use the YuVie Platform for any app that constitutes, promotes or is used in connection with spyware, adware, or any other malicious programs or code.

  5. Don't store or cache YuVie login credentials.

  6. Provide meaningful customer support for your app, and make it easy for people to contact you.

  7. Provide a publicly accessible privacy policy that tells people what you collect and how you will use this information.

  8. If you allow third parties to serve content, including advertisements, or collect information directly from visitors, including placing or recognizing cookies on visitors' browsers, disclose this in your privacy policy.

  9. Comply with your privacy policy.

  10. Comply with any requirements or restrictions imposed on usage of YuVie user videos ("User Content") by their respective owners. You are solely responsible for making use of User Content in compliance with owners' requirements or restrictions.

  11. Remove within 24 hours any User Content or other information that the owner asks you to remove.

  12. Obtain a person's consent before including their User Content in any ad.

  13. Only store or cache User Content for the period necessary to provide your app's service.

  14. Don't use the YuVie API to simply display User Content, import or backup content, or manage YuVie relationships, without our prior permission.

  15. Don't participate in any “like" or "comment" exchange programs.

  16. Only use the SHARE and DELETE endpoints after a business has taken an explicit action in your app requesting you to do so.

  17. Only use the STATISTICS endpoint to inform the account holder of their own analytics information. Do not use it for any other service and do not share it with any third parties.

  18. Ensure your comments are uniquely tailored for each person. Don't post unauthorized commercial communications or spam on YuVie.

  19. Don't enable a business to take more than one action on YuVie at a time.

  20. Respect the limits we’ve placed on YuVie functionality and the way YuVie looks and functions. Don't offer experiences that change it.

  21. Protect the information you receive from us against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, don’t use data obtained from us to provide tools that are used for surveillance.

  22. Don't transfer any data that you receive from us (including anonymous, aggregate, or derived data) to any ad network, data broker, influencer network, or other advertising or monetization-related service.

  23. Only incentivize a person to log into your app or enter a promotion. Don't incentivize other actions.

  24. If you want to facilitate or promote online gambling, online real money games of skill, or online lotteries, get our written permission before using any of our products.

  25. Don't use an unreasonable amount of bandwidth, or adversely impact the stability of YuVie servers or the behavior of other apps using the YuVie Platform.

  26. Don't reverse engineer the YuVie APIs or any of YuVie’s apps.

  27. Don't sell, lease, or sublicense the YuVie Platform or any data derived through the Platform.

  28. Comply with all applicable laws or regulations. Don't provide or promote content that violates any rights of any person, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, rights of privacy, or rights of personality. Don't expose YuVie or people who use YuVie to harm or legal liability.

B. Brand Assets

Comply with YuVie Brand Guidelines. Don't use the trademarks of YuVie without written permission, including as authorized by applicable brand guidelines. 

C. Things you should know

  1. YuVie primarily communicates with developers through email. Please ensure that the email addresses associated with your YuVie account are current and that you don't filter out these messages.

  2. YuVie may rate limit or block apps that make a large number of calls to the API that are not primarily in response to direct user actions.

  3. Enforcement is both automated and manual, and can include disabling your app, restricting you and your app's access to YuVie Platform, requiring that you delete data, terminating our agreements with you or any other action that we deem appropriate.

  4. YuVie may change, suspend, or discontinue the availability of any YuVie Platform at any time. In addition, YuVie may impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to parts or all of the YuVie APIs or the YuVie website without notice or liability.

  5. If YuVie elects to provide you with support or modifications for the YuVie Platform, this support may be terminated at any time without notice to you.

  6. YuVie reserves the right to charge fees for future use of or access to the YuVie Platform.

  7. YuVie doesn't guarantee that the YuVie Platform is free of inaccuracies, errors, bugs, or interruptions, or is reliable, accurate, complete, or otherwise valid.

  8. Licensed Uses and Restrictions: The YuVie Platform is owned by YuVie LLC and is licensed to you on a worldwide (except as limited below), non-exclusive, non-sublicenseable basis in accordance with these terms. Your license to the YuVie Platform continues until it is terminated by either party. Please note that User Content is owned by users and not by YuVie. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by YuVie.

  9. You represent and warrant that you own or have secured all rights necessary to display, distribute and deliver all content in your app or website. To the extent your users are able to share content from your app or website on or through YuVie, you represent and warrant that you own or have secured all necessary rights for them to do so in accordance with YuVie’s available functionality.

  10. You represent and warrant that you satisfy all licensing, reporting, and payout obligations to third parties in connection with your app or website.

  11. You give us all rights necessary to enable your app to work with YuVie, including the right to incorporate information you provide to us into other parts of YuVie, and the right to attribute the source of information using your name and logos.

  12. You are responsible for restricting access to your content in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including geo-filtering or age-gating access where required.

  13. You grant us and our affiliates a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any data, content, and other information made available by you or on your behalf in connection with your use of our Platform. This license survives even if you stop using the platform feature. You are responsible for obtaining the necessary rights from all applicable rights holders to grant this license. Any API made available by you or on your behalf in connection with the platform features is deemed part of your app.

  14. Disclaimer of Any Warranty: YuVie Platform and all data derived through such Platform are provided "as is" with no warranty, express or implied, of any kind and YuVie expressly disclaims any and all warranties and conditions, including but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, security, title and non-infringement. You are solely responsible for any damage that results from the use of any YuVie Platform and all any data derived through such Platform including, but not limited to, any damage to your computer system or loss of data. 

  15. Limitation of Liability: YuVie shall not, under any circumstances, be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with use of the YuVie Platform and any data derived through such Platform, whether based on breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort (including negligence, product liability or otherwise), or any other pecuniary loss, whether or not YuVie has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Under no circumstances shall YuVie be liable to you for any amount.

  16. Release and Waiver: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby release and waive all claims against YuVie, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, licensors, co-branders or other partners, and employees from any and all liability for claims, damages (actual and/or consequential), costs and expenses (including litigation costs and attorneys' fees) of every kind and nature, arising from or in any way related to your use of the YuVie Platform and data derived through such Platform. If you are a California resident, you waive your rights under California Civil Code 1542, which states, "A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor." You understand that any fact relating to any matter covered by this release may be found to be other than now believed to be true and you accept and assume the risk of such possible differences in fact. In addition, you expressly waive and relinquish any and all rights and benefits which you may have under any other state or federal statute or common law principle of similar effect, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  17. Hold Harmless and Indemnify: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify YuVie and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, licensors, co-branders or other partners, and employees from and against any third-party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of the YuVie Platform and any data derived through the Platform, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and/or consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and attorneys' fees, of every kind and nature. YuVie shall use good faith efforts to provide you with written notice of such claim, suit or action.

  18. Relationship of the Parties: Notwithstanding any provision hereof, for all purposes of the YuVie Platform Terms, you and YuVie shall be and act independently and not as partner, joint venturer, agent, employee or employer of the other. You don't have any authority to assume or create any obligation for or on behalf of YuVie, express or implied, and you must not attempt to bind YuVie to any contract.

  19. Invalidity of Specific Terms: If any provision of the YuVie Platform Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision and that the other provisions remain in full force and effect.

  20. No Waiver of Rights by YuVie: YuVie’s failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the YuVie Platform Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Data Policy


This policy describes the information we process to support YuVie. 

I. What kinds of information do we collect?

To provide the YuVie Products, we must process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Products. Things you and others do and provide:

  • Information and content you provide.

    We collect the content, communications and other information you provide when you use our Products, including when you sign up for an account, create or share content, and message or communicate with others. This can include information in or about the content you provide (like metadata), such as the date a file was created. It can also include what you see through features we provide, such as our camera, so we can do things like suggest masks and filters that you might like, or give you tips on using camera formats. Our systems automatically process content and communications you and others provide to analyze context and what's in them for the purposes described below. Learn more about how you can control who can see the content you share.

  • Networks and connections.

    We collect information about the people, accounts,  hashtags and groups you are connected to on corporate accounts of the YuVie Platform and how you interact with them across our Products, such as people you communicate with the most or groups you are part of. We also collect contact information if you choose to upload, sync or import from a device (such as an address book or call log or SMS log history), which we use for things like helping you and others find people you may know and for the other purposes listed below.

  • Your usage.

    We collect information about how you use our Products, such as the types of content you view or engage with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or accounts you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we log when you're using and have last used our Products, and what posts, videos and other content you view on our Products. We also collect information about how you use features like our camera.

  • Information about transactions made on our Products.

    If you use our Products for purchases or other financial transactions, we collect information about the purchase or transaction. This includes payment information, such as your credit or debit card number and other card information; other account and authentication information; and billing, shipping and contact details.

We also receive and analyze content, communications and information that other people provide when they use our Products. This can include information about you, such as when others share or comment on a video of you, send a message to you, or upload, sync or import your contact information.

Device Information

As described below, we collect information from and about the computers, phones, connected TVs and other web-connected devices you use that integrate with our Products, and we combine this information across different devices you use. For example, we use information collected about your use of our Products on your phone to better personalize the content or features you see when you use our Products on another device, such as your laptop or tablet, or to measure whether you took an action in response to an ad we showed you on your phone on a different device.

Information we obtain from these devices includes:

  • Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage space, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins.

  • Device operations: information about operations and behaviors performed on the device, such as whether a window is foregrounded or backgrounded, or mouse movements (which can help distinguish humans from bots).

  • Identifiers: unique identifiers, device IDs, and other identifiers, such as from games, apps or accounts you use, and Family Device IDs.

  • Device signals: Bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.

  • Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through device settings you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.

  • Network and connections: information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address, connection speed and, in some cases, information about other devices that are nearby or on your network.

Information from partners


Partners, advertisers, developers, and publishers can provide information about your activities off YuVie—including information about your device, websites you visit, purchases you make, the ads you see, and how you use their services—whether or not you have a YuVie account or are logged into YuVie.

Partners receive your data when you visit or use their services or through third parties they work with. We require each of these partners to have lawful rights to collect, use and share your data before providing any data to us.

II. How do we use this information?

We use the information we have (subject to choices you make) as described below and to provide and support the YuVie Products and related services described in the YuVie Terms and Conditions.

Provide, personalize and improve our Products

We use the information we have to deliver our Products, including to personalize features and content and make suggestions for you on and off our Products. To create personalized Products that are unique and relevant to you, we use your connections, preferences, interests and activities based on the data we collect and learn from you and others (including any data with special protections you choose to provide); how you use and interact with our Products; and the people, places, or things you're connected to and interested in on and off our Products.

  • Location-related information: We use location related information such as your current location, where you live, the places you like to go, and the businesses and people you're near-to provide, personalize and improve our Products, for you and others. Location-related information can be based on things like precise device location (if you've allowed us to collect it), IP addresses, and information from your and others' use of YuVie Products.

  • Product research and development: We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Products, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new products and features.

Promote safety, integrity and security.

We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent spam and other bad experiences, maintain the integrity of our Products, and promote safety and security on and off of YuVie Products. For example, we use data we have to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies.


Communicate with you.

We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Products, and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

III. How is this information shared?


Your information is shared with others in the following ways:


Sharing on YuVie Products

When you create content on YuVie, the content is automatically shared with the users connected to the corporate account you are logged into. If you are an individual user, your content is only visible to you.

When YuVie content is shared outside of our Platform to social networks like Facebook and Twitter, the user profile used to post the content on the respective social network is available to anyone connected to the user profile of the social network, and is public information depending on the parameters of the social network and the settings selected by the user. The specific user information attached to YuVie accounts is not made public when YuVie content is posted from our Platform to social networks. 

YuVie account information, usernames, profile pictures, etc… is not made public. Only individuals who are provided with account information, or who are authorized to log into YuVie accounts can access the YuVie Platform, view content created on our Platform and collect information about the users.


Content others share or reshare about you

When sharing YuVie content to social networks or via email and text, you should consider who you choose to share with, because people who can see your content on social networks can choose to share it with others outside of the YuVie Platfrom, including people and businesses outside the audience you shared with on social networks. For example, when you share a YuVie post to specific friends or accounts, they can download, screenshot, or reshare that content to others outside of our Products.


Apps, websites, and third-party integrations on or using our Products.

When you choose to use third-party apps, websites, or other services that use, or are integrated with, our Products, they can receive information about what you post or share. Also, when you download or use such third-party services, they can access your any information that you share with them. Information collected by these third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies, not this one.


New owner.

If the ownership or control of all or part of our Products or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.


Sharing with Third-Party Partners

We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Products, or to help our third-party partners grow their businesses. We don't sell any of your information to anyone. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners can use and disclose the data we provide.


Law enforcement or legal requests.

We share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances outlined below.


IV. How can I manage or delete information about me?


We provide you with the ability to access, rectify, port and erase your data.

We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until your account is deleted - whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs.

When you delete your account, we delete the content you created, and you won’t be able to recover that information later. Information that others have shared about you isn't part of your account and won't be deleted.


VI. How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?


We access, preserve and share your information with regulators, law enforcement or others:

  • In response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States when we have a good-faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.

  • When we have a good-faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud, unauthorized use of the Products, violations of our terms or policies, or other harmful or illegal activity; to protect ourselves (including our rights, property or Products), you or others, including as part of investigations or regulatory inquiries; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, if relevant, we provide information to and receive information from third-party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud, abuse and other harmful activity on and off our Products.

Information we receive about you (including financial transaction data related to purchases made with YuVie) can be accessed and preserved for an extended period when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations of possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also retain information from accounts disabled for terms violations for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other term violations.

Third-party cookies may be placed on your device by someone providing a service for YuVie, for example to help us understand how our service is being used. Reporting Something

After reviewing our guidelines, if you believe an account isn't following one or many of our guidelines, you should report the abuse by contacting: support@yuvie.com

Please provide all necessary information in your report; this will help your issue be resolved as quickly as possible. 

YuVie only removes accounts that aren’t following our Guidelines and Terms & Conditions. Keep in mind that YuVie does not mediate disputes between people who use our service.

We'll investigate every report we receive. However, when an argument appears to have gone beyond the point of a personal conflict and may have turned into a credible threat, whether it be online or offline, you should contact your local authorities. They are in the best position to assess the threat and intervene or help as necessary.

If contacted by law enforcement directly, we can work with them and provide the necessary information for their investigation of your issue.

If you feel that your online dispute is legal in nature, please seek advice from a lawyer. YuVie can't offer any legal advice, and we can't provide information about people who use our service except as required by valid legal process.
